UNF Imperial, Half/ Thin all Metal Locking Nuts, BZP and Self Colour, Grade 1, BS1768
Fixaballsell diameters of UNF, Grade 1 Steel, BZP and self colour (depending on availability), half (thin) lock nuts.
Nutsare almost always used opposite a mating bolt to fasten a stack of parts together. The two partners are kept together by a combination of their threads’ friction, a slight stretch of the bolt, and compression of the parts.
Lock Nuts/ Thin Nuts
A locknut/ half nut/ locking nutis tightened behind another nut as an extra precaution to prevent a fastening from loosening due to vibrations and/ or torque. These nuts are approximately 2/3 the thickness of a full nut.
